Recently, I got a chance to talk to my friend Carlos Whitaker about living a Life on Mission. It’s a good reminder that we don’t need a bunch of stuff, or a 37 step plan. We just need to be a witness to our neighbors around us.
When it comes to people sharing their faith, I think there’s a lack of confidence that most people have. Christian feel like they have to be Billy Graham to share their faith.
Personally, I don’t think I have the gift of evangelism. I get nervous. I think I have to have a tract or something.
The other day, my wife said to me, “hey, you’re preaching on Father’s Day at CrossPoint. We’ve never invited our neighbors to church.
He’s standing out there, why don’t you go invite him. I walked over and just said “hey man, I’ve never invited you to my church before…but I’m speaking, so I thought it would be a safe time for you to come.”
And he came! I felt like an evangelism giant!
All that happened was I kept it simple.
